I don’t about anyone else but during the summer i am the salad queen. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good BBQ but it’s nothing without a beautiful fresh salad on the side.
And for those who can’t stand all the bread accompanied with the BBQ (have to admit I am not one of those – im a bread addict) here is a summer salad idea with the added BBQ flavour.
A peppercorn steak
Half an avocado
Orange pepper (any colour really)
1. Grill the steaks on the bbq or for indoor bbq style either a George Forman grill or a griddle on the hob.
2. Prepare the salad, making a bed of leaves and chucking everything else on top.
3. Fry the mushrooms until golden brown in a little light flora butter.
4. Cut the steak into squares or strips and serve.
